CHanele, go into the Administrative control panel and opne the "Services" folder. Look for the Windows Messaging entry. Double click on it and click on "Stop" then change the start up type to Disabled. This does not stop pop up ads that you see when using Internet Explorer. The messaging system is not a mjaor concern for most users. Pop up ads can be controlled with a program such as "Popper Stopper" which are free, or you can purchase a full vesion.
