I had worked on a computer with the same problem. All of the micro$oft articals
and roxio fixes did not solve the issue. Various BIOS and Device Manager configuration
failed to solve it either. I eventually solved it by disabling "Task Scheduler".
I did this through msconfig under the services tab. Just uncheck the box. It doesn't
solve the problem in all computers but it did on this one. This computer was a Windows
XP Home from Gateway.
