I've had the same problem. I successfully restored ntoskrnl.exe. I can get as far
as the Windows 2000 starting up progress bar, but when it finishes the screen flickers
for a split second and the computer restarts. And this continues over and over again.
A note on how I got to this point: Norton Antivirus informed me that I had a virus...unfortunately
I can't remember which one now that I can't get back into the computer. It said it
couldn't repair the file and to download a special removal tool.
I ran the removal tool and it said it couldn't find the file...confused I continued
working and then the next time I tried to start my computer the ntoskrnl.exe missing
error showed up. Then I successfully restored it...but now i have the problem I described
above...
Help...someone?
