Just seen this: -
http://www.dvboard.com/archive/dvboard_2001_1/1975.html
I can't for the life of me see why this would make any difference in a Plug-n-play
system buy I'll try it later. It seems that the way forward may be to look at DirectX
FAQ's, as history seems to show that the problem was resolved with version 8.1a but
is back again with 9. 9b is now out, so I will download and try it. Have checked
for XP hotfixes and not found anything related. Maybe later...
One suggestion I read was to try a different cable!
I'll keep looking.
I have Matrox Marvel which is analogue, which only works in NT4 and 98. I have an
external USB2 & Firewire Caddy with DVD-RW so want to use this and the camera under
XP and do without 98. Both the camera and the caddy will not work with firewire ..Yet
:-)
