Question about 'Replace the Ugly Startup and Shutdown Screens' Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at 4:05 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Gerhard Opel (1 messages posted) I have a question about replacing a very ugly AND annoying startup screen href="http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/article02-011">Replace the Ugly Startup and Shutdown Screens: Before I upgraded to XP from ME my computer booted directly into the desk top without delay. Now I am getting a small ugly and annoying startup screen that says "Owner Log On" . The system stops here until I click . This is very annoying because I can't just push the buton on thecase and forget about starting the system. Now I have to wait until the startup screen appears so I can click the "OK" and THEN wait until the machine boots to the desk top. Please help to eliminate this nuisance. I am the only one who uses this machine.
