I will list 3 more websites with info about the virus if anyone else is interested
on what it does.
1.) http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.blaster.worm.html
2.) http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/security/bulletin/MS03-026.asp
3.) http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/security/Content/8205.html
Hope that helps any of you. So far, what I know is to make sure it is completely
gone from your system, you need to end (process) msblast.exe from the task manager
menu. Then you need to delete it from C:\Windows\System32\ folder. Then go into RegEdit
to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run- And delte the
key "windows auto update."
That should get it totally off your computer. To keep it from coming back on to your
computer go to
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/security/bulletin/MS03-026.asp
and download the patch at the bottom of the page. Hope that Helps!
