Hello - I am an experienced computer user, but novice computer fixer, and I am having
the same problem as others - the RPC service unexpectedly terminating, and the system
restarting. I am able to download and install the patch from MS using a portable
hard drive and another computer, but my question is this: once the patch has been
applied, and my internet theoretically works again, what do I do about the msblast.exe
problem, or any of the other problems associated with this "blaster worm"?
I installed the patch on my win2k computer (which was not having internet problems,
but did have the msblast.exe running), and msblast.exe was still in the processes
of the task manager area.
Basically, can anyone give any advice about how to solve these various problems?
Thank you so much in advance - I'm not sure if I'm asking the right questions, but
it was a miracle I found this forum in the first place, so I thought I'd start here.
