Hey people
For all of you who didnt figure out how do get rid of the *VIRUS* or just didnt falll
in the trap of reformating your system then here are six easy steps to clarify your
way. Also remember to disconnect the internet as it will stop the problem.
1. Download this patch ( A MUST) or the VIRUS will keep on regenerating itself. This
is best done if you have 2 computers and put the patch on diskette.
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp? url=/technet/security/bulletin/MS03-026.asp
Install it and reboot
2. Press crtl + alt + delete and a menu should pop up. Click on the second tab (Proccesses)
and look for msblast.exe and end proccess it.
3. Go to start, run , type msconfig and go to the last tab (Startup), look for msblast
and uncheck the box.
4. Go to start, run, type regedit. Click Hkey_local_machine, then Software, then Microsoft,
Then Windows, then current version and then click on run. On the right hand side
of the screen should say some stuff. You have to fine a line that says auto update.
Double-click on it and if it says msblast.exe then you gotta delete the auto update
line by rightclick and delete on the line that says auto update.
5. Finally, go to start, search and then on the left and side click all files and
folders, then type in msblast and select your windows directory usually c:. Wait
until it finds it and delete the 2 files that it searches up.
6. Reboot and Enjoy. This is made for windows xp and gets rid of the 60 second countdown
that the VIRUS does to your computer.
feel free to email me nickindahouse2000@hotmail.com for any further instructions.
