I am having the same problem some of you had with enabling the remote procedure call
(RPC) service after I had stupidly disabled it. Cheng says to make the registry
change in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\!!LEGACY_RPCSS\0000\Configflag
should be the flag of DISABLE if the values is 1". Anton says to change in "HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\ROOT\Legacy_RPCSS\0000
Then I changed the CSConfigFlags from 1 to 4".
Which should be changed, "current_config" or "local_machine"?
I don't see CSConfigFlags. Is it the "\0000" that needs to be changed? I'm sorry
I don't understand fully. Could someone give exact instructions on this? I feel
really hesitant about making a registry change. Thanks
