I had the same problems with a gigabyte 8knxp, 2.8GHz, geforce 5200 128MB Graphics
card.
Looking on some of the other discussion boards, I downloaded a small program called
memtest.
This little program tests the system ram.
Since I replaced mine, I have had no problems
