YEAH!!
I was starting to think it was completely impossibile to remove WMP v9. Makes me
wonder why M$ never mentions this. I had to delete the shortcut that pointed to the
late WMP v9. Found a link in (All Progs>Accessories>Entertainment>Win Media Player)
that points to v6.4.09.1125. It works fine.
I didn't have System Restore on so I thought I was out of luck. It will teach me
to look at the end of long threads before I read 'em from the top. I was getting
depressed and then I tried the rundll
Yeah! BTW, What prompted all this? I just wanted to clean up my Right Click Context
Menus for .mp3 files. I started with WinAmp and managed to do clear them from inside
the registry. No luck with the items related to WMP though. This uninstall left my
context menu completely clean.
