This is one of my biggest beefs with Microsoft... They assume too much about where
the user will want things. I also don't like that C:\WUTemp directory.
I want my directories to be neat, and not a cluttered mess of Microsoft junk. That's
why I like Linux, because you can virtually configure anything (even if it means
hacking some code).
A little trick... You can use Process Viewer from www.sysinternals.com to see which
program is using these directories. For some stupid reason, its winlogon.exe
