The shimgvw.dll came up as an error message while reinstalling WIN ME and from then
on, I have not been able to get into windows. I only get a blue screen and the system
halts just before it displays the login dialog box. All of the answers given are
specific to doing the processes within windows. What do I do if I cannot get into
windows to massage the registry. I cannot find any credible suggestion that helps
me from the emergency boot diskette. Help!!!
If anyone is aware of a DOS based command that enables the loading and unloading
of a DLL, I am interested. Please email me a complete answer. I am very reluctant
to erase my system because I have some very valuable business related information
on it.
Thanks in advance to all that can and are able to help.
