I wish I were more experienced with this. I have not had the problem, the information
at the other site is from another user.
You have viewed the events logged at startup, for both system and security. If I
infer correctly, you are saying that you see no warnings or information items that
indicate there is anything other than normal activity being logged at the system
and security and application levels at startup.
Despite this you are getting a blank warning message with a yes/no response at startup.
You do not perceive, and the system does not record in the event viewer, any difference
in system behavior or state which results from clicking Yes vs. No.
If all these inferences are correct, then the error message must be the result of
some factor other than core Windows XP operations, which would relieveve any concerns
I had about the message a lot. But to get rid of the message you need either a
solid recommendation from an expert who knows more about "system startup error messages"
than I - or to go to the internet and google for a description of the registry edit
which disables startup warnings altogether.
If I am wrong about the inferences I have made above, and you have items in your
event viewer at startup which are suspect or which you do not understand, use the
copy feature to post them here, so we can have a look.
Best to you.
