The popups start when I start my computer, before I start IE. My corporate IT department has tried loading all of the pop-up stopper software named in the posts above. It has cut down on the volume, but not stopped the problem. (It is succeeding in killing my available memory, though.) Messenger has always been disabled. Next step will be to reimage my hard drive. There has to be another solution, something is running on startup, why can't I find it? It's very frustrating. Thanks for any suggestions!
