I have a sneaking suspicion that this problem may be caused by a security update for the RPC vulnerability. I dont know why but I have this exact problem and it occured when I installed the update for the RPC vulnerability. I also know some peope that have experiencesd this after installign the blaster RPC patch.. Might be wrong but it seems like a big co-incidence...
