That's because you still have ICF enabled. With ICF enabled, ALG.EXE needs full access.
I have Norton IS installed. I went to use BulletProofFTP, then NIS alerted me ALG.EXE
wanted access to the internet. I found that odd. So I did some searching and found
this thread. I disabled ICF, it shouldn't have been turned on in the first place,
now I don't get the NIS alert that ALG.EXE wants to access the internet. And Task
Manager shows ALG.EXE is no longer running.
I had also deleted the NIS entry for BulletProofFTP. And when I tried to FTP again,
I got the usual NIS warning for BPFTP.EXE instead of ALG.EXE, which is normal. So
now I know NIS is still working correctly even after disabling ICF (ALG.EXE).
