After I un-installed the Lexmark driver and delete its driver or "Server Properties" in Control Panel->Printer icons, no more printer icons (clean) ...... AND after I disconnect the Windows PrintSpooler's "dependencies" to the LexBCE Server, I was able to restart Printer Spooler by typing MSDOS (winXP here) "net stop spooler" and then "net start spooler".... Or, (recommended) go to Start->Run 'services.msc' to scroll down the list "PrinterSpooler", highlight it, Properties, disconnect its dependecies tree to a LexBCE Server; then click "Stop" and click "Start" to restart PrintSpooler. I began HP installation...works great. *Questions: what should I do with this obsolete LexBCE server that is still in the list? Delete it? I am using HP printer now (works fine). No longer using Lexmark. Will deleting this 'LexBCE' screw up my HP settings? Pls reply here and offline email (as I dont come here too often). Mike
