Just do this: 1) Right click on My Computer 2) Left click on Manage 3) Expand Services and Applications on the left column 4) Click on Services 5) Find the Messenger service on the right hand side and double click it 6) Set the Startup type to either manual or disabled I have LOTS of tricks tro get the very best out of any OS.
