John,
Hey, I have a big problem, and I think you maybe could help me out. I go to Indiana
University, and their IT department sent this e-mail for all the students to go to
Windows Updates, search for any needed updates, and then download any critical updates.
Therefore, I downloaded and installed 3 cricitcal updates to my computer. However,
now whenever my computer starts, it gives me the message "Cannot run C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll.exe";
hence, none of my programs or files in the system 32 will work. Therefore, I can't
do anything on my computer except run the files on my desktop. I tried to remove
the updates, but I cannot even run my "Add or Remove Programs" in the Control Pannel
because it said it cannot find the file. Also, I tried to do a system restore to
before I updated my computer, but I cannot run that either because it cannot find
that file. I could really use any advice you can give me. I'm sure it has to do
with the system updates that I was told to download. Please help if you can. Thanks!
