All you need to do is enclose the path in quotation marks
IE if you want to set it to I:\Adam Bradley\My Documents
You can use ether I:\AdamBr~1\MyDocu~1 or " I:\Adam Bradley\My Documents"
I don’t know of a site that really explains the 8.3 conversion rule well or I would
post it here
