Well here's yet another person with the same problem........ :/
I originally started with a radeon9000pro, but the thing kept crashing saying that
the driver was failing. I have now changed my g/card to an nvidia fx5600 256mb, with
my original ASUS A7V333 mobo VIA KT333 chipset all with the latest drivers. I'm
running on an athlon 2400 with 1200ddrram....
NONE of my games work, they all flicker then eventually shut themselves down within
a couple of minutes with the C++ Runtime Error etc etc.
I'm pretty annoyed as the place that I got this machine from keep assuring me all
is fine with my machine.......... hmmmm I think not. I've tried the various attempts
at solving this problem from this board and none have helped me, sadly... anything
else out there?? :(
Thanks guys
