If you want to change the default "Arrange icons by" list order that applies to Windows
Explorer folders, including the Save dialog box, do the following:
In Windows Explorer, go to the folder you want to change, and click on the column
header you want to sort by. If you want to reverse the order, click it again. Your
items will then be sorted by that column.
To make it permanent, from the menu bar select Tools, Folder Options..., View tab.
Now, you have a couple of options depending on whether you want it to apply just
to the current folder, or to all folders from now on.
If you want it to apply to just the current folder, make sure to check ON "Rememer
each folder's view settings".
If you want it to apply to all folders, make sure to turn OFF "Rememer each folder's
view settings", then click the Reset All Folders button, and confirm it, then click
the Apply to All Folders button and confirm it.
Then press OK to dismiss the Folder Options dialog box and you're done.
Good luck!
