To make this quick:
Cause: IE to freeze slow.. application would not start.
Event: Receive dwwin.exe after doing windows update on recent "Error reporting..."
Tries and failed:
disabling dwwin.exe in msconfig and deleting all from registry.
Final solution: (please read carefully)
After all failed.. I decide to delete all the dwwin.exe (176 KB). After delete your
windows will go crazy. It will not open any aplpication and will give you error message.
Why?: Its because dwwin.exe was program to be laod all the time and windows cannot
located it.
You should still be able to click on the START menu and do a restart.
Before windows startup hit "F8" to bring up a menu. Choose the option: "restore windows
to last best known configuration."
And you should be back to normal.. please read carefully before you try. Write down
all the steps.
System: Windows XP Pro
Note: the dwwin.exe (176KB) should disappear from your system.
Good luck.
