I had the same problem just occured with XP. Finally the driver for my onboard LAN
which automatically installed by XP didn't work properly, I used the manufacturer's
disc to replace, Works like a charm now! Don't trust all drivers installed by XP
even it doesn't give any errors under "Device Manager". Good Luck
