(1 messages posted) This problem occurs because the hash ID stored in your OS at XP activation doesn't match the new calculated hash ID. Reasons : new hard drive, new partition size... What to do : the only method i know is to use your windows XP Cd to repair your previous installation. It will re-run the activation phase at the end of the repair process. Of course your system files will ALL be overwritten, including Service pack, microsoft fixes downloaded from windows update, moded files (if you had some). Yes i know it's sooo convenient but...it's Microsoft !
