.I have a question about How to Share Files through Windows XP's Internet Connection Firewall:

I am networking with WinXP, Win2K and a Win98 computers. I use a cross-over cable, as I only occasionally need to network to the Win 98 computer. Everything works OK with the XP computer's firewall disabled. I then tried your fix to allow the Xp's firewall to be enabled and this fails to work with any of the alternative port connections suggested. The only difference that I can see with my set up, is that I have a manually assigned IP address for each computer (this was to prevent the “Auto-IP-Config” start up delay on the Win98 computer).

On the XP computer the IP address is "192.168.0.2" and it was this that I typed in for the new ‘File Sharing’ services instead of “127.0.0.1”, as per step '6' in the article. Has anyone any suggestions?
