Something I noticed that may explain why it doesn't work is that, when I go to Device Manager -> Sound .. -> SoundMax Integrated Digital Audio->driver-> drivers details... One of the file is c:\windows\system32\drivers\dmk.sys (from Microsoft). However, the file is not on my system. Tried to search it via google and Microsoft with no success.
