I would guess that this is a hardware problem rather than software - first things to check would be to make sure all the fans in the system are working, especially make sure that the processor fan is spinning at its proper speed, next in line would be the memory, if you have two sticks of memory, remove one of them and see if the problem goes away, if not - swap the sticks around. If the problem still exists, then disconnect your hardware one piece at a time, and this will hopefully eleiminate the problem by process of elimination.
