Are the drives detected in the bios? If they are not visible there, then you need
to sort that out before doing anything else. If both the drives are connected to
the same cable, disconnect one of them and then see if the bios detects the remaining
drive, and then do the same with the other drive. If both drives can be detected
when they are connected by themselves, then it may something as simple as a jumper
setting. If only one of the drives is able to be detected when on the cable by itself,
then it could be that one of the drives has failed and when both are connected, it
causes both of them not to be recognised properly.
