This sounds to me as if it is a problem with the javascript dll (jscript.dll). I
think i saw a windows update concerning javascript the other day so ensure that you
have all the updates installed. If that doesnt work try reinstalling internet explorer
which may make a new copy of the javascript dll.
Other than that i would reinstall windows.
