Hi Sten, The file "WindowsXP-KB823980-x86-ENU.exe" found at www.cademuir.demon.co.uk is an update you require (to prevent recurrence). Run this after also downloading and running "Fixblast" from this same site. Being unable to remain operational without blaster closing you down prematurely is a problem, but why not do the download elsewhere, transfer to CDR and then run on your machine. Harry
