You are confusing Windows XP's "action" prompts with autorun, which is configured
on the CD, and unfortunately, you cannot that I can tell allow for instance an audio
CD to have an action prompt, but not allow programs to auto*run*.
To disable "action prompts":
1. Open tweak UI.
2. click the + next to my computer.
3. Click the + next to Autoplay.
4. Click on handlers.
5. You are in heaven. You can delete the handlers or change them. (ie. for music
files-->do this. blank cds-->do that.-->these are handlers at its simplest form.)
If you would like to configure a very specific action, (like open iTunes whenever
I insert an audio CD) --a wonderful "competitive" idea..
1. Select your CD-ROM drive when it is avaliable from My computer.
2. right-click on it and click properties.
3. the autoplay tab allows you to specify a default action like I described above.
