if the site is designed to open with certain dimensions then the answer is "no"...
however, try this:
1. open up a new browser window
2. maximize it or resize as desired
3. go file>>close
this saves the "last known window size" for reuse later.
You *might* have to do this a few times to get it to stick... I hope this works for
you.
