Spybot problem

I installed Spybot S&D and ran it once successfully. SInce then, whenever I try to
open it, it appears in the taskbar, but the window never loads. WHen I right click
on the icon and close it, it says that the program is not responding. I tried uninstalling
and reinstalling multiple times to no avail I have also tried both basic and advanced
mode. Has anybody else had this problem, and if so, how do you fix it? Spybot is
such a useful program in so many ways that I really want it to work.
