This is a repeat of a post I made about a week ago. I got several replies but alas,
they didn't help. I'm giving it another go, hoping someone else may have the answer.
Got XP, home, with dial-up connection. No matter how I start to surf the web (using
a desktop shortcut to a website, or opening Internet Explorer to my home page, or
opening it to a blank page (using about:blank) and then clicking on a site from my
favorites list), I get a box on-screen telling me the webpage is not available offline
(I know that!) and to view it I should click on connect. I get this box even if I
first connect to the net before opening my browser and going to a website. This happens
only when I first try to go to a website in a session -- once I've gone to a site
(after being forced to click on that connect button), the message doesn't show up
again during the rest of the session. But next day when I go to surf, I get the same
on-screen message. I want to get rid of this message and having to click on the connect
button. (I also have much the same thing happen when I first open Outlook Express
-- even if I am already connected to the internet, I get a similar message.) Any
help out there? Thanky, thanky.
