Well, I can't speak for the original poster as to the questions you raise. I came
across this thread and asked you my question above because I also have had that message
complained of, saw your response and was interested if the message could be avoided
by shutting down differently. No, I haven't researched it on the web. Now that
you have mentioned it, though, I'll take a look at my File menu "work..." setting
the next time I close and open IE. I gather the original poster isn't getting any
quick solution to the problem.
