this might work, go to an image, whatever file type it is, right click on it, click open with, then choose program. choose the program you want to change it to, make sure the box is ticked: "always use the selected program to open this kind of file" then click ok, every time u open this type of file it will open in whichever program u selected. ( im not sure what the other way is )
