My problems were solved after pugrading to the SoundBlaster Audigy 2.
Their new drivers with disclaimer for support of
ribbon cable support of newer DVD, CD and SCS
drives corrected all of the problems that I had had
in XP and using the ribbon cables on such to transfer
the sound to the sound card (As in IDE cables etc.).
If you are using DVD player software make sure it
supports multiple channels the freebees don't.
