no icons or taskbar on startup Saturday, November 29, 2003 at 9:59 am Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by thehunter02 (6 messages posted) When I boot my computer, I have no icons or taskbar when windows boots. I can bring them up by restarting explorer. I have scanned for viruses with my norton 2003, but nothing is detected. Something is wrong with my norton though. Autodetect will not come on, and when you enable it, it still won't come on. Also, I am getting an email protection error. Do I have a virus that I have yet to get rid of, or is there another problem?
