The solution to The Sims Superstar freezing at the neighborhood screen is to create
a shortcut on your desktop to open The Sims. I suggest doing it in larger viewing
mode. To create a shortcut go into the Maxis/The Sims folder and right click on
the program and then choose "create shortcut" to your desktop. After you have created
the shortcut, right click on the shortcut on your desktop and choose "Properties".
In properties there is a line that says "Target". This is how system reads that
the program should open. Don't delete anything in the line but after what is already
typed in the (including the ") type a space and then -w
This will cause the game to open up in a window. It won't show on your entire screen
but you will at least be able to play. This is the only way I have found to play
it. If anyone has any better suggestions, please let me know. Or, if you have questions,
you can ask me.
I hope this helps everyone.
