Yes, download, update and run Spybot S&D.

If you are using Internet Explorer, you will occasionally get annoying popups unless
you use a popup stopper. These won't be as bad as the ones you get now, but annoying
nonetheless. My favorite way of blocking these is to install the Google toolbar.

You must have a firewall enabled.
Delete spam e-mail. Don't click on any links in the spam, and don't open any attachments.
If this doesn't do the job, let us know.
