I had a similar problem on my dell laptop. Luckily it was a dual boot and I was able
to boot into linux to solve the problem. apparently, for me at least, my drive fs
type was changed, not the actual structure, but just what it reports, so instead
of ntfs it was hfbs/ntfs or something.. i used cfdisk to change it back to ntfs,
rebooted, everything was gravy.
