There are 2 reg keys that screw the device, I removed them both and re-scaned for
PnP (or rebooted) after removing the device & all was well.
The keys are: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325
-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} - "Upperfilters" and "Lowerfilters". You need to use Regit
(start>run>regedit). On different operating systems they can be located at slightly
different spots so if you can't find "Upperfilters" and "Lowerfilters" at the above
spot do a registry search for them. Also DO A REGISTRY BACKUP first especially if
your not used to registry editing.
There are web sites that address this issue on the internet but hard to find.
