I am guessing you are seeing Windows XP as both OS choices when you boot your machine.
If this is true, don't worry about it, you dont have Windows installed twice. I always
suggest doing a clean install when you start having OS problems. Clean install=Fidsk,
Format Reinstall (doo-dah, doo-dah...). Ok, mabye the Fdisk bit is a little extreme
in most cases but I like to completely exorcise the daemons of older windows installs
and any old software. If you do this, you won't see Windows XP as both OS choices.
