I had almost given up trying but thanks to your message I think it has worked (I
am about to try once I log off).
I actually have pro as well as home but thanks to the good folks at Sony when I do
a clean install I cannot then install my bundled software that came with the laptop!
When I install pro over the top of home a virtual page file error occurs (which results
in my laptop continually rebooting and it cannot start in any mode) and has to be
rebuilt.
Therefore I was stuck with trying this fix.
For other novices:
1. You cannot just copy the dll and inf files as this does not work (even though
you can see the IIS components you cannot click them on!)
2. You may not be able to expand the two files from disk - therefore copy them to
your PC (I ended up putting them in the root of c:\ as DOS does not like spaces in
directory names
Wish me luck
