OK, I'm confused and getting desperate. Everything was working fine last night but
switching on today, when I try to View Workgroup Computers I get a message saying
"Mshome is not accessible. You might not have permission to use the network resource..."
from the laptop. Both computers are logged in to administrator accounts.
The desktop shows the laptop in the workgroup but will not let it be opened (I get
a similar message). The only thing I did was to stop Zonealarm starting automatically
on the desktop (via the System Configuration Utility - startup item "zlclient" unchecked).
Zonealarm was never installed on the laptop.
Netwwork Connections on the laptop shows the Internet Gateway is connected and the
LAN connection is enabled.
ICF is NOT enabled on the laptop's LAN connection (again, I do not get the Advanced
tab on the desktop's LAN Properties pane so cannot see ICF status, but it is enabled
on the broadband link).
Is it necessary to fully un-install Zonealarm? What else have I forgotten?
Help would really be appreciated. Thanks.
Nick
