I unloaded ALL other software that can write to cd's or DVD's. I removed windows
media player and the udf writer in control panel. I did a cold shutdown to get rid
of memory resident files.
Only after doing this and installing incd 3.37 was I able to get it to work properly.
Hope this helps others.
I was not able to find where you disable windows xp support for burning cd's
