This doesn't seem to be a very common problem, but it is annoying as hell! I took
the advice of this site:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;308421
I was able to change my security level, and able to delete previously untouchable
folders. It hasn't changed the fact that all my folders are still read only... Hmmmmm.
Thinking it may have something to do with sharing..... Any thoughts????
Good Luck!!
