From what I am able to determine by looking around on the web, it appears that the
CMMGR32.EXE is the Microsoft Connection Manager and the CMPBK32.DLL is the Microsoft
Connection Manager's phonebook. The Microsoft Connection Manager is a utility that
was included in the Windows NT Options Pack and was used for creating remote access
connects (RAS) for easier deployment by service providers. See the following link...
"http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;221119" In the Microsoft
Knowledge Base Article 221119 for Microsoft Connection Manager 1.2, it states "This
release will not install on Windows NT 5.0 beta 2 or Windows 2000." For this reason,
I'd doubt that the Microsoft Connection Manager is compatible with Windows XP. I
would try contacting your service provider to see if they have a more up-to-date
method of connecting your computer to their service. Hope that helps... DosMaster
